Thrixel CLI

3D Generation From the Terminal

Generate models from text or images, save files locally, and automate asset pipelines with the Thrixel CLI.

Create a Model
thrixel make 'a wooden watchtower with a ladder' \
  --engine create \
  --tris 5000 \
  -o watchtower.glb

CLI Capabilities

Generate

Sculpt generates a textured mesh. The create engine keeps parts as separate, editable nodes. Each command waits for completion and saves the final model.

Export

Download GLB, FBX, OBJ, STL, or USDZ for game engines, web experiences, and 3D workflows.

Scripts and CI

JSON output, separate progress logs, and exit codes support automation. In CI, authenticate with THRIXEL_API_KEY. Run individual tools with thrixel run.

How It Works

  1. Install

Requires uv. The CLI ships in the thrixel-mcp package alongside the MCP server.

    uv tool install thrixel-mcp
  2. Sign In

Run thrixel login, open the link, verify the code, and approve. The CLI and MCP server share the saved credentials.

    thrixel login
  3. Preview the Cost

Use --dry-run to see the planned steps and estimated Cubes before submitting a job. Check the balance with thrixel balance.

thrixel make 'a wooden watchtower with a ladder' --engine create --dry-run

Thrixel for Coding Agents

The MCP server exposes the same tools to coding agents. The API supports direct integration into apps and services.
