Edit

Changes specific parts of a model from a text instruction and leaves everything else as it was.

Edit changes models or selected parts from text instructions.

Editable Parts

Thrixel's Architect models have a part hierarchy. A cupboard can contain separate doors, shelves, and objects; a cart can have a body and individual wheels. This is similar to layers in an image editor, with each part representing a piece of the 3D object. Sculptor's single-mesh output serves a different purpose and does not provide that same part hierarchy.

Focused Edits

Describe a change to the whole model or select named parts to edit. Parts outside a focused edit remain unchanged. Part-scoped edits work best on Architect models.

Variations on Existing 3D Assets

Asset design often continues after the first generation. Edit supports changes to proportions, components, and overall form through text instructions, making it useful for refining game props or developing variations from an existing model.

Part selection gives those revisions a defined scope. A door, roof, or wheel can be the focus of a change while the rest of an Architect model stays intact.
