Remesh

Brings a model down to a target triangle count and keeps its texture.

Remesh reduces triangle counts while preserving textures.

Triangle Budgets

Set a target from 1,000 to 200,000 triangles for a completed Sculptor or Detailer model. The operation reuses the existing mesh and texture.

Whole Models or Selected Parts

Whole-model remeshing works directly on Sculptor output. Part-focused remeshing requires a Detailer result with preserved parts; other parts keep their current resolution.

Why Remeshing Matters for Real-Time 3D

Dense meshes capture fine detail, but that density is not always needed in a game, simulation, or web viewer. Reducing triangle counts lowers geometry complexity and helps fit individual assets into a scene's rendering budget.

Remesh makes it possible to prepare lighter versions of an existing model while retaining its textures. Different targets suit different viewing distances and devices, with higher counts reserved for forms that need more detail.
